Dear Sangha, 

 

After careful consideration, our community has decided to reopen our Zendo for Zazen. The schedule will be slightly abridged and will also include a partial continuation of the Zoom meetings. The Zoom meetings have become popular for some who are not able to come to the Lakeland Zendo and those who live far away. 

 

Below is the new schedule beginning (08-17-2021). 

 

In-Person Zendo Schedule

 

• Weekly every Tuesday Evening Zazen (For everyone's safety, face coverings are required for entrance and will be worn at all times. We will be practicing social distancing.)

 

6:15 PM - 7:30 PM (Zazen period(s), Four Vows, outdoor sangha gathering. Dharma talks, and Dokusan on select evenings). 

 

• Bi-Monthly Saturday Morning Zazen - 1st and 3rd Saturdays only

 

9:00 AM - 10:20 AM (40 min. Zazen period, Four Vows, outdoor sangha gathering. Dharma talks will be on select Saturdays and Dokusan during Zazenaki (short retreat).

 

**We are currently looking into the possibility and safety of offering Zazenkai once again. Keep an eye on the website schedule regarding an upcoming Zazenkai (short retreat). 

 

Zoom Meeting Schedule

 

• Tuesday Evening Zoom Meeting - 1st and 3rd Tuesdays only

 

6:00 PM - 7:15 PM (Zazen, Four Vows, Discussion. Dokusan will be offered via Zoom break-out rooms on some Tuesdays and will alternate with Dharma talks.)

 

• Saturday Morning Zoom Meeting - 2nd and 4th Saturdays only 

 

9:00 AM - 10:20 AM   (Zazen, Four Vows, Discussion. Dokusan will be offered via Zoom break-out rooms on some Saturdays and will alternate with Dharma talks.)

**Please Note: In the event there is a month with more than four Saturdays, there may not be a meeting of either type on the fifth Saturday. We will, however, continue to meet in-person every Tuesday, even when there are five Tuesdays in a month.
